We wrapped up the final week of our first ever virtual camp program last Wednesday! The 6-week program flew by. Each week, participants moved at their own pace through the activities, which always included a recipe, an art or craft, and a science experiment or a something involving nature. On our in-person Zoom hangouts, we learned camp songs together, made pizza, wrote haiku, danced, and so much more!

We had a blast incorporating some of the virtual programming into our summer camp programs by inviting kids in our Summer Adventure program to join us on Zoom. We also really loved being able to engage with Camp Fire families on Zoom! We even had some virtual campers who were not in Alaska, which really is one of the joys about virtual offerings. We enjoyed getting to know everyone who attended!

With schools starting in an online model, we hope to offer school year programs in any way that can help our Camp Fire families. We have a survey that we would like our Camp Fire families to complete in order to assess the need for more virtual programming throughout the colder months as Coronavirus continues to change the way we approach our lives and programs. Please take 5 minutes and complete the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GJBDYLV
