Facilities

Camp K is located on the South shore of Kenai Lake, four miles from Cooper Landing, off of Snug Harbor road. The 160 acres of Camp K provide a welcoming environment to reconnect to nature and one another, unplug and focus.

The main lodge has a 100 person capacity and a commercial kitchen. 30 rustic cabins are located around the property and have a total sleeping capacity of 110.

With over half a mile long beach front on Kenai Lake and access to various hiking trails, Camp K is the perfect get away.

"Kitchen facilities exceeded the catering chef’s expectations while the restrooms, bunkhouses and gathering spaces all offered plenty of space and creature comforts for participants to enjoy their stay. The warmth and flexibility of the dining hall made for an exceptional space to eat and be active in workshops with peers during cold rains. Beyond the structures, the on-site team assisted with firewood, offered accommodations and proactively helped attendees, and created memories by leading a fun, safe and informative kayak tour on Kenai lake. Participants left with smiles and looking forward to returning and contributing to the Camp K mission and vision, which highlights an appreciation for the facility and its friends making moments like the Design Camp possible."

Anchorage Museum

"We wanted our spouses to have a total break. No cooking, no cleaning, just showing up and embracing the memories and new friendships of summer camp. Camp Fire Alaska delivered big time. We were taken back by the demand for the opportunity, but giddy as can be. In early August, a group of eighty met at Camp K for an unforgettable 14 hours of painting, eating, kayaking, laughing, camp firing, and hilarious story telling. Swag bags, prizes, and a few new skills were the take aways. With the help of ConocoPhillips Alaska, what started off as a tiny seed after a chance interaction turned into what will be a signature program for the ASYMCA for years to come. Looking so forward to 2023. "

The Camp Fire Alaska main office operates on the ancestral land of the Dena’ina people. Camp Fire Alaska runs programing on the lands of the Athabascan, Yup’ik, Chup’ik, Sougpiaq, and Inupiaq peoples. We value and thank them for their current and historic commitment to and protection of this land. We pledge to assist, in partnership, in the environmental stewardship of these lands. We strive to learn more about the history of the Native peoples of Alaska and the historic trauma they have suffered. We commit to being an active ally through activities, actions, and organizational decisions and practices. We understand that this is a dynamic process through which our Land Acknowledgement practices, and statement will evolve as we receive feedback from tribal partners and acquire a deeper understanding of and from the Native peoples of Alaska.
