ANHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) under section 330 of the Public Health Act. It was Alaska’s first community health center and remains the state’s largest, serving over 12,000 individual patients through over 40,000 visits per year.

If you are a new patient with no insurance:
Bring $268 for your first appointment OR Save up to $243 (based on your income) by applying for our sliding scale discount.

If you are a current patient with no insurance:
Bring $253 for your appointment OR Save up to $233 (based on your income) by applying for our sliding scale discount.

If you are patient with private insurance:
Bring $50.60 and your insurance card to your appointment AND/OR Co-payment or proof that you have met your deductible.

The Dental Hygiene Clinic is located in Suite 124 of the Allied Health Sciences Building (AHS) on the UAA Campus. Patients must park legally in a decal space and a validation will be given to the patient upon departure from the clinic which, when mailed in, will void parking citations for not having a decal. Other citations are the responsibility of the patient; this includes parking meter violations.


During the fall semester (September – December), students see patients on
Tuesday and Thursday -8:15 – 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 – 3:45 p.m.

During the spring semester (January – April), students see patients on
Tuesday, 8:15 – 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 – 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday, 8:15 – 11:15 a.m.; 12:30 – 3:45 p.m.; and 5 – 8:30 p.m.

Alaska’s Adult Public Assistance (APA) program provides cash assistance to needy aged, blind, and disabled Alaskans to help them remain independent.  The APA program gives cash to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients and others who have income and resources within APA income and resource limits.  APA recipients are also eligible for Medicaid benefits

Alaskan residency under age 65 must blind or disabled, 18 years
Blind or disabled must be at least 18 year old
Resources may not exceed $2,000 for individual or $3,000 for couple

The CAMA program is a state funded program designed to help needy Alaskans who have specific illnesses get the medical care they need to manage those illnesses. It is a program primarily for people age 21 through 64 who do not qualify for Medicaid benefits, have very little income, and have inadequate or no health insurance.
