Anchorage and Eagle River

Overview:

If you’re looking for a fun job where you get to play with and help kids, then this is the job for you. Camp Fire Alaska aims to help youth develop social, emotional, physical, and academic skills that will help them see and reach their full potential. We do that by facilitating hands-on, educational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, structured play and more, all in a safely organized before and after school program setting.

Come join our team and work in our Before and After School Program in elementary schools in Anchorage and Eagle River. Programs run from 7-9am and again from 3:30-6pm, Monday through Friday. When school is not in session, we operate day camps and full or half day programs during the school year.

Details:

  • Work Location: Assigned program site (elementary school) with occasional training and meetings at the main office
  • Reports to: Site Director
  • Work Status: Non-exempt, part-time, average 15-25 hour/week.
  • $10.34/hr

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age 16-years-old
  • Ability to transport self to work (school sites, Camp Fire office)
  • Experience working with kids, in a group setting strongly preferred
  • Experience, training or education in youth development, education, or recreation preferred

Requirements:

(can be acquired after hire with agreed upon time schedule): Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED & First Aid; Food Worker Card; Mandated Reporter training certificate; Health & Safety certificate.

*Program Staff

*Intervention Specialist
