Timotheen Ayik Charles joined Camp Fire Alaska in the summer of 2019 as the Rural Program Coordinator. Her Yugtun name is Ayik’ and Taress’ and she is from Kasigluk. She graduated from University of Alaska Fairbanks with a BA in Alaska Native Studies; concentration in Alaska Native Knowledge, Cultural Resources and Expression with a minor in Yup’ik. She got this degree because she has always been interested in culture, language, traditions and values as these things usually develop and mold a person.
Timotheen is so excited to be a part of the rural team and work with an organization that has similar goals and values to herself in making positive impacts for our youth.
When she is not at work, Timotheen likes to bead, watch movies, be around family and friends, drink iced coffee, make, buy, and collect handmade earrings.
