Camp K on Kenai Lake provides one of Alaska’s best natural settings; a getaway where young people can unplug, explore the wild world around them, develop outdoor skills, make new friends, and have fun. The camp sits on Kenai Lake, 4 miles from Cooper Landing, and includes more than 160 forested acres, a half-mile-long beach on Kenai Lake, and access to many hiking trails.
When not being used by Camp Fire, Camp K’s facilities are available for use by community groups (between mid May and the end of Sept.). Between June and August, Camp Fire can provide some staffing and programming, as well.
The camp facilities have been recently redeveloped with brand new cabins that can sleep up to 80 people; a large community dining hall with a gorgeous stone fireplace and fully updated commercial kitchen; a waterfront with stunning views and a sauna; a large activity field for group games and sports; flush toilets; and, opening in 2013, a brand-new health center/shower house.
