Summer Program Director (1 position): This position is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of the Camp K Resident Camp Program, including day to day programming responsibilities (i.e. staff and youth management and training). Live on the premises of Camp K during the summer season. Acting as part of the camp leadership team, the Summer Program Director will provide a high-quality camp experience and excellent customer service to program participants, parents and visitors.

Season Rate: $10,000 + room and board

Season:  May 1- August 18, 2017

Requirements: Demonstrated skills in camp organization and/or supervision, and eligibility to drive agency vehicles. Current Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED (Child and Adult) required (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at minimal cost to employee during orientation).

Kitchen Manager/ Camp Cook (1 position): This position is responsible for daily management of the camp kitchen; supervision of kitchen assistants; and outstanding customer service to campers, staff, user groups, and visitors. Duties include menu planning; food and supply ordering; kitchen inventory; kitchen health and sanitation; and preparing and cooking nutritious and appealing foods. . Live on the premises of Camp K. Requirements: Minimum age of 21; current CFPM (Certified Food Protection Manager) certification and documentation of training/experience in food service management; current First Aid/CPR/AED (Child and Adult) required.

Target Sports Specialist (1 position): The Target Sports Specialist pr

ovides guidance to campers and staff during target sports activities. This position is responsible for providing instruction and supervision during archery, riflery, blow-darts, sling shots, and atlatl activities.  Duties include coordinating with camp staff in developing program, maintaining program supplies and inventory, assisting with camper supervision, as well as planning and presentation of applicable staff orientation topics.  Target Sports Specialist will live on the premises of Camp K and work with camp counselors to support an assigned group of cabins throughout the week. This individual will act as part of the program delivery team to provide a high-quality camp experience to program participants, parents and visitors. Seasonal Rate: $3,000 + Room and Board

Requirements: Minimum age of 18; current Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED (Child and Adult), (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at a low cost to employee during orientation); NAA and Civilian Marksmanship certification (or the ability to become certified) or a comparable certification from a nationally recognized certifying body; previous experience in instructing target sports; previous experience working in a day/resident camp or other youth development program; ability to plan and facilitate activities; ability to be trained in specialized program areas and pass necessary skill assessments.

Requirements: Minimum age of 18; current lifeguard, wilderness first aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certifications (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at a low cost to employee during orientation); previous experience working in a day/resident camp or other youth development program; ability to plan and facilitate activities; ability to be trained in specialized program areas and pass necessary skill assessments.

Counselor (4 positions): This position is responsible supervising, interacting, and living with the campers in cabin groups; helping campers with daily living tasks, decision-making, peaceful conflict resolution, and community living; as well as coordinating with specialists to facilitate camp activities such as arts and crafts, archery, riflery, waterfront activities, hiking, cooperative games, outdoor living skills, and nature activities. Seasonal Rate: $2,800 + Room and Board

Requirements: Minimum age 18; current Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED (Child and Adult), (Wilderness First Aid certification will be offered at a low cost to employee during orientation); previous experience working in a day/resident camp or other youth development program; ability to plan and facilitate activities; ability to be trained in specialized program areas and pass necessary skill assessments; and willingness to facilitate and participate in target sports, waterfront activities, outdoor living and nature skills, and creative arts.
