Absolutely Incredible Kid Day
A Big
Thank You to these community leaders for joining
us in celebrating the
Incredible Kids of Anchorage!
On Thursday, March 20th, ASD
Superintendent Carol Comeau, Anchorage Mayor Mark
Begich and Denali Elementary Principal Brooke Hull
shared their own Absolutely Incredible Kid Day letters
with Camp Fire youth in our after school program
at
Denali Elementary. The children had some great questions
for our community leaders; including this one about
the hardest job they ever had........
"The
hardest job I ever had was..."
Mayor
Begich:
When he was a teenager, he worked on a city clean up project
as part of a youth group. He remembers having to get up at 6
am in the morning (in the summer) and getting paid $1.35 an hour.
As hard as it was, he got a lot of satisfaction from helping
keep the city clean.
Superintendent Comeau:
Aside from being a parent, the hardest job she ever had was teaching
a class of 30 sixth graders and making the class interesting,
challenging and fun for her students.
Principal Hull:
Without a doubt the hardest job she ever had was working at a
car wash hand drying cars. It inspired her to get an education.
