| SCHOOL
CLOSURE INFORMATION |
|
|
When the
Anchorage School District declares an unplanned closure
or delayed start, Camp Fire USA will provide child care
at designated school sites when there is a reasonable belief
that families, children and staff can travel safely to & from
site. This
plan addresses only those days that are unplanned closure
days.
Important
Note...
Schools designated for snow days
may be different from the school designated for School
In-Service or Holidays.
Camp Fire USA Alaska Council
does not operate on school closure days in Fairbanks.
OPENING
TIME:
Sites are scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m. Weather and road conditions
may cause Camp Fire staff to arrive later than that time. A Camp Fire
staff member will be dispatched to arrive at the school at the earliest
possible time. Please be patient if conditions cause their delay.
At
no time are children to be left at the school site without
ensuring that the building is open and at least two Camp Fire
staff members are on site. Given this, we ask that
you accompany your children into the building.
CLOSING
TIME:
Closing time will be at 6 p.m. at all Anchorage schools and at 6:30 p.m.
at Homestead School in Eagle River. In order to ensure safe travel for
families and staff, on occasion we may contact parents during the day
to arrange for early pick up of children.

ITEMS
TO SEND WITH YOUR CHILD
Please send Nutritious
Lunches with your child as well as warm

WITH YOU!
